Outside Garden Steps Can Be A Feature

Posted by:

When it comes to lighting garden steps it can be more than just about safety.

If the step lighting compliments and blends well with other garden lighting, then it becomes part of the design theme.

As you can see from this photo, the feature tree is highlighted and beautifully illuminated with two spotlights.

The “warm white” tree lighting also blends perfectly with the step lighting, bringing the whole thing together.

Gobo Projectors

Posted by:

One of the most exciting new areas of garden lighting is being able to use waterproof outside Gobo projectors. These projectors can be mounted on to trees and poles and they project giant images onto a surface, creating a WOW factor.

What is a Gobo Projector?

The Gobo itself (meaning “goes before Optics”) is a small stenciled circular disc that is placed on the projector lamp and then projected out on to the surface.

Is Modern Garden Lighting Intrusive?

Posted by:

You may be concerned that having garden lights may cause an annoyance for your neighbors. However, obtrusive light only occurs when it is badly designed and incorrectly installed.

Still very popular in the U.K are high wattage flood lights which when badly positioned can cause huge problems. They are often used to illuminate a large area for security with a cold, white blinding light which can glare into bedrooms and can not only ruin a good nights sleep, but that of ...
